Qt Software to discontinue Qt Jambi after 4.5 release Preview of Qt Jambi Version 4.5.0_01 Release Available
Oslo, 17 February 2009 - Qt Software today announced that development on Qt Jambi -- a port of Qt to the Java programming language -- will be discontinued in order to focus resources on the Qt cross platform application and UI framework. Qt Jambi will be maintained for one year after the March 2009 release of Qt Jambi 4.5.0_01, and will be made available upon release on http://labs.qtsoftware.com under the LGPL license.
To help faciliate the continued development of Qt Jambi, Qt Software will host and help maintain a community-driven Qt Jambi implementation.
In addition, Qt Software today released the Technology Preview of Qt Jambi 4.5.0_01. Qt Jambi 4.5.0_01 is scheduled for launch shortly after Qt 4.5 in March 2009.

停止的原因是为了集中资源进行Qt 交叉平台及UI界面框架的开发!
在2009年3月Qt Jambi 4.5.0_01发布后,Qt Jambi将继续一年时间!
同时也提到为继续正在进行的Qt Jambi开发,Qt Software将主办，并帮助维持一个社区驱动的Qt Jambi执行!

Qt Software集中资源在Qt的根本核心(C++)的发展上，将其它语言的port交给社区去做，未尝不是好事，也有利于Qt与开源社区的互动。
