I see a lot of people trying MeeGo with an Asus 701 that according to"Supported Hardware List" isn't supported _but_ works very well usingLiveUSB.
Well, I installed it and got the "INIT: Id "x" respawningtoo fast: disabled" error. This is what I did to fix it.
First, go to console 1 pressing ALT+F1 and login using root as username and meego as password.
Then, execute startx command, which will bring us to a old window manager and a terminal. In that terminal, type and execute /usr/sbin/firstbootcommand. Then, after some debug text in the terminal, your cursor willchange and a wireframe will apear. So place the cursor at the top-leftcorner and press left button. (Note: That is a bit anoying feature ofthis window manager, you must locate the window before it is drawn.)
Now, follow the first boot wizard, which will ask you your username, timezone, and keyboard map.
At the end, reboot your netbook and voilá, enjoy MeeGo.

EDIT: It seems to work also if you just reboot when the error appears. I didn't tried, but it worked to solt. Thanks!
