First of all thanks to all Trolltech developers for providing such a
great project under GPL. The library helps me to do my research work
at the University.
Now and then I get the time to continue working on DirectShow COM-headers for
MinGW [1]. Some of this code may actually be of interest
to you, since it will bring you closer to making it possible to compile
Phonon with MinGW.
I've uploaded the work on Sourceforge [1] and I hope it may be useful
to you. The most recent example (currently "ds3.tar.bz2") compiles with
MinGW and it tries to open a camera and then capture a few frames.
Once I get some more time to work on it, I will try to maybe do
hardware accelerated display and/or video file input. At some point I
will also try to create and submit a patch for the MinGW headers.
